Dr Lauren Codd is an experienced clinical and forensic psychologist. She is skilled in the assessment and treatment of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, post-traumatic stress disorder, substance misuse, adjustment, relationship difficulties and behaviour change. Lauren has worked extensively in child and youth settings. She provides clinical assessment, intervention, consultation and training on attachment, trauma and neglect, mental health, forensic risk assessment and complex behaviours. She has also worked with adults in private practice and statutory settings. Lauren has worked with young people and adults who have disabilities to support their mental health, relationships and behaviour.
Lauren particularly enjoys supporting adolescents and young adults to help them find manageable ways to overcome their challenges and move toward their goals. She is a warm, friendly and encouraging person who enjoys seeing people’s lives improve through the work they do together. Lauren has undertaken additional training in trauma-processing intervention, cognitive and behavioural interventions, relational attachment and developmental neuroscience. Lauren has held senior clinician and management positions. She has managed multi-disciplinary teams and provided organisational consultancy. Lauren is a psychology board-approved supervisor and has overseen the clinical work and assessments of many clinicians. Lauren provides supervision to provisional psychologists completing their internship programs and to psychology registrars. |
